i really wanted to try it because it’s so cute and i love oat milk (i work at a coffee shop lol), but i have super acne prone skin and lots of bumps in my skin texture. and well, tbh, the only reason i started using sweet chef is because i was looking up vegan skincare and sweet chef’s packaging looked adorable haha.
anyway, previously only paula’s choice toner was able to help out the little bumps, and i’ve tried everything from proactive to curology to clean & clear to oil cleansing to cerave to the ordinary, and more (you get it), so I thought getting the sweet chef ginger salicylic acid cleanser would be good.
nope!! it was too drying and caused even rougher texture on my face. so, i ended up throwing that away, and getting the oat milk cleanser because, at this point, why not?
omg i never used the words “holy grail” about skincare before, but this is it!! my face is so clear and my pores are so much smaller and ughhh it’s seriously amazing-i love this stuff!!
in the am i cleanse, follow with ginger vitamin c tonic, and black girl sunscreen. in the pm i cleanse, follow with tonic, use a drop of the retinol beet serum, retinol beet face mask, and ginger vitamin c moisturizer. i’m still working to simplify my routine, by seeing what products i can remove (if any, i’m waiting until after coachella to make any skincare changes because i do not wanna be broken out and bumpy then haha), but so far it’s been great!
i was doing this routine with the ginger salicylic acid…
